The Oregon Legislature approved House Bill (HB) 4002 in February 2022. The measure requires agricultural employers to pay certain workers for overtime hours worked and creates a refundable income or corporate tax credit for employers. BOLI and DOR have teamed together to educate and provide resources for agriculture employers. DOR will provide information and tips for employers that may qualify for the Agricultural Employer Overtime Tax Credit. BOLI will help educate employers and workers about how overtime and minimum wage hours laws impact the agriculture sector. The agencies will be available to help answer questions and discuss any concern.
