New Varieties Showcase Submissions

Do you have a new or improved plant to showcase?

Show off your new or improved plants in the New Varieties Showcase at Farwest! This trade show feature is your chance to reach more than 4,000 retailers, brokers, garden writers, and more who browse the dazzling exhibit at the Farwest Show August 20 – 22.

Selected Tier 1 submissions gain extra visibility in the July edition of Digger magazine (more than 8,000 green industry subscribers) and make it on to the FarwestShow.com portfolio of searchable trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, and grasses. Shine a light on your new (or improved) varieties, apply today!

SUBMIT YOUR NEW PLANT

Each submitted variety must be available for purchase for the upcoming 2026 season from at least one exhibitor at the 2025 Farwest Show.

IMPORTANT: To be accepted into the showcase, plants must differentiate themselves from similar offerings on the market. Selections must be NEW to the market for 2025 or 2026 and available to order from a current Farwest Exhibitor.

Tier 1 – $250 (Deadline April 11)
If chosen, includes:

Full-color print inclusion in the July Digger Magazine (a value of $750!) that goes out to more than 8,000 industry subscribers.
Displayed with Hip Labels plant tag take-aways for attendees.
Featured online at FarwestShow.com
Featured in the New Varieties Showcase on the show floor at Farwest with a Hip Labels plant tag label.
Plant profile added on NurseryGuide.com. Plant made available for OAN member growers to list on the website and in the book, if they grow it.

Tier 2 – $90 (Deadline June 13)
If chosen, includes:

Featured online at FarwestShow.com
Featured in the New Varieties Showcase on the show floor at Farwest with a Hip Labels plant tag label.
Plant profile added on NurseryGuide.com. Plant made available for OAN member growers to list on the website and in the book, if they grow it.

All accepted submissions for Tier 1 and Tier 2 are also added to NurseryGuide.com, the OAN’s wholesale search engine for plants, services and supplies, so that searchers can find it. OAN members exhibiting at Farwest will receive one free Nursery Guide listing for each 2025 New Varieties Showcase entry they have available.

Please upload your high-quality, high resolution (minimum 300 dpi) photos. *** One of the benefits of the New Varieties Showcase is that it brings attention to the growers and breeders of these wonderful plants. Each submitted variety must be available to order from a current Farwest Exhibitor for 2025.

Submissions will be reviewed by a selection committee with representatives from across the green industry, such as landscape designers, growers and horticulturalists. A $250 fee will be charged for each selected submission in Tier 1, and $90 fee will be charged for each selected submission in Tier 2.
