Ryan is a Professor of Ornamental Plant Breeding at Oregon State University, where he has created a diverse program in the development and evaluation of woody nursery crops. He uses a variety of modern techniques that all sound very sciency, but the most important tool is a strong connection to growers to understand what pressures and issues they face and how we can reduce issues for producers and end users of our green products.
