Alan Shay

Senior Instructor, Horticulture Department, Oregon State University

Alan Shay has been an urban field horticulturist for the past 43 years. He has managed Willamette Valley landscapes at such varied venues as the Oregon State University campus, Eugene Country Club, The Oregon Garden and DeSantis Landscapes. After 27 years in the field, Alan returned to OSU for a graduate degree and has been teaching there since 2007. His focus within the Horticulture Department is sustainable horticultural solutions for the residential and commercial landscape.
