Marie Chieppo is recognized as one of the leading East Coast authorities in the field of regenerative design, native plants and sustainable landscapes. Her expertise is based on years of experience working with growers, nurseries and consumers advocating for sustainable practices in horticulture. In partnership with Trevor Smith, she co-founded CFS Regenerative Design Studios LLC.

Marie actively strives to influence policies and practices within the horticulture industry on multiple fronts. She co-authored a book with the Association to Preserve Cape Cod, is a member of the Horticultural Research Institute’s Plastic Task Force, a member of the National Stewardship Action Council, a board member of the Ecological Landscape Alliance and a member of the Sustainability Committee at GardenComm International. Her findings and efforts have been published by multiple media outlets including Greenhouse Magazine, The American Gardener and Hort Science.
