Carlos is director of technical services at Bioworks Inc., where he leads a team of technical specialists developing sustainable pest and disease management programs in ornamental and specialty crops. He has been involved in horticultural research and education for more than 25 years in both academia and private industry. He currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Integrated Pest Management, and is consulting editor for HortTechnology. He is a past president of the Entomological Society of America — Southwestern Branch (SWBESA). He is originally from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and is a proud graduate of Zamorano University, Iowa State University, and Texas A&M University.
