Brian Schulker is a substrate scientist working for the Jiffy innovation and research and development team. He has a background in soil physics, horticulture, and substrate water efficiency and specializes in the use of alternative substrate amendments for sustainable crop production. Brian received his M.S. and Ph.D. in horticulture at North Carolina State University. His research at NC State focused on the dynamic changes in growing media through the uses of new, sustainable fibers for cultivation and serves as the business development manager of growing media for Jiffy Products International.
