Luisa Santamaria, Ph.D., is an extension plant pathologist at Oregon State University’s North Willamette Research and Extension Center (NWREC), where she leads a bilingual plant health program serving the nursery and greenhouse industry. With extensive experience in applied disease management and grower education, she collaborates with researchers and industry partners across the United States on emerging pathogens affecting woody ornamentals. Her work focuses on translating research into practical, field-ready solutions that support nursery production in the Pacific Northwest.
