Hydrangea paniculata ‘Renba’ PPAF

Bred by Jean Renault, Pépinières Renault, Gorron, France and introduced by Bailey Nurseries Inc.

With strong, upright stems and large cone-shaped flower panicles that stay upright, this plant is a summer stunner. Like the other paniculatas from Jean Renault, the flower color starts out white in July then progresses to dark pink with the onset of cooler weather in August and September. Coloring occurs from the bottom and progresses to the top of the panicle. Berry White™ has a more upright habit with stiff stems that hold the flowers up despite inclement late summer weather. As a young plant in production, it requires less pruning, with less flop in the container. Berry White™ blooms a little later than Strawberry Sundae® and about the same time as Vanilla Strawberry™. Prefers full sun to part shade with average moisture. Moderate to fast growing to 6–7 feet tall by 4–5 feet wide. No serious pest or disease issues. Hardy to Zones 3–8.
