Bred by Jim Berry in collaboration with Texas A & M University, in Grand Saline, TX and introduced by J Berry Nursery

Hollywood Hibiscus are the results of 15 years of intensive breeding by Jim Berry to develop several significant improvements over the species and other introduced cultivars. They are naturally self-branching, providing dense, more uniform, well-formed bushes at a young age, with strong insect, and disease tolerance. Hollywood Hibiscus doesn’t cycle out of flower like the species and all other introductions do.
