Sierra Laverty

Assistant professor and horticulture educator, University of Idaho Extension

Sierra is a little TOO interested in plant pests and diseases. As an assistant professor and horticulture educator with the University of Idaho Extension service, Sierra supports greenhouse and nursery growers and tree farms in Idaho’s Treasure Valley. She has been working in horticulture for over 15 years, and taught greenhouse and nursery management and integrated pest management (IPM) as a faculty member of the College of Western Idaho. Sierra has a bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University, a master’s in entomology from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and is an ISA-certified arborist.
