Dr. Lloyd Nackley
Professor at Oregon State University
Dr. Nackley’s interest in plant-environment interactions have taken him from rural childhood forest explorations to urban brownfields, public gardens, nursery production systems and plant ecologies around the world. He has spent most of his life on the West Coast but has also spent years researching in Australia and South Africa. He is the nursery research leader for Oregon State University and is stationed at the North Willamette Research and Extension Center near Wilsonville, Oregon. His current research focuses on incorporating sensing technologies, and helping nurseries adapt to increasingly extreme weather events. He teaches the Nursery and Greenhouse courses in Corvallis, and lives with his family in Portland.
