FairTrak Insta-Caliper

Contact: Monika Cetnarowski, 509-381-2112
info@2ndsightbio.com, www.2ndsightbio.com

The 2nd Sight BioScience Insta-Caliper semi-automates counting and sizing inventory in the field. Simply slide the U-shaped head piece around the plant to calculate trunk diameter using break beam sensor technology. The attached ruggedized FairTrak Handheld Computer electronically records plant sizes by variety, location, row, and GPS coordinates. Register a tree as "good," "cull," or "other" with the push of a button while taking measurements. The Insta-Caliper is more ergonomic than traditional hand calipers, allowing employees to count and measure without bending over. It's fast, easy, paperless and efficient, resulting in labor savings and better inventory management. The Insta-Caliper can be adapted to warehouse counting and grading at commercial nurseries.

Once installed, this low-cost solution promises decades of beauty and performance without the addition of any chemicals. Juniper's legendary durability comes from its high content of natural aromatic oils. Juniper lasts much longer than cedar or redwood — up to 50 years or more in ground contact applications. The Farwest Trade Show is always a good time to see people face-to-face and close orders. This year, it was the best show in four years. I talked to several people who wrote orders. But Farwest is just as good of an opportunity to buy as it is to sell. You can see a piece of equipment, ask questions, and find out how it can be customized. It takes less time. For a small business like ours, that's very important.
