Welcome Exhibitors!

Farwest is the largest green industry show in the West and, as one of our valued exhibitors, we want to make sure you have all the tools you need to take advantage of it. Below are important exhibitor details for you to review.

**IMPORTANT MOVE-IN CHANGES**

Due to the anticipated high traffic impact around Oregon caused by the Total Solar Eclipse, Farwest Exhibitors, BY REQUEST ONLY, will be able to move-in a day early starting Sunday, August 20, from 1pm-7pm. To take advantage of this early move-in opportunity you must notify us by Tuesday, August 15, to secure your early move-in.

Tell us which day and time you plan to move-in:

The Total Solar Eclipse is expected to cause high levels of traffic congestion around Oregon especially on Monday, August 21, the day of the eclipse. Show management, the convention center and DWA, our show decorator company, will do our best preparation for this Sunday early move-in. We ask for your patience on-site as we work to accommodate all exhibitors who request this early move-in opportunity.

Move-in Hours:
Sunday, August 20, 1pm-7pm. BY REQUEST ONLY.
Monday, August 21, 8am-8pm. Open all day to all exhibitors.
Tuesday, August 22, 7am-8pm. Open all day to all exhibitors.
All booths must be completely setup by end of day Tuesday, August 22.

Convention Center doors close 7pm Sunday and 8pm Monday/Tuesday (August 20-22), but Exhibitors are allowed to stay later to work on your booth setup on Monday/Tuesday only. However, in-and-out privileges will not be allowed after the doors close. Once you complete your late night booth setup and exit the building you will not be allowed to reenter the facility.

We are happy to be able to provide you this early move-in opportunity, and appreciate your patience during this unique move-in situation.

TRUCK & TRAILER AND VEHICLES NEEDING LOADING DOCK

Vehicles and Truck & Trailer Combinations needing a loading dock to unload and load material, or any vehicle needing a forklift or pallet jack to unload and load material. Drivers must check with Traffic Manager on NE 1st Avenue (at loading dock behind Oregon Convention Center). If a loading dock is available, the Traffic Manager will direct the driver to the loading dock. If docks are full, the driver will need to provide the Traffic Manager the driver's cell phone number and will be put onto a waiting list. The driver may be required to drive off-site until space becomes available. When a loading dock becomes available, the driver will receive a notification to drive back to the loading dock area.

SMALL VEHICLES NEEDING UNLOADING AREA

Small vehicles that can be unloaded by hand within 30 minutes and not requiring a pallet jack or forklift must also check in with Traffic Manager on NE 1st Avenue (at loading dock behind Oregon Convention Center) and will be directed to an unloading area.

FORKLIFT SERVICE

DWA forklift drivers are available to transport off-loaded material to exhibitor booths. Forklift service is complimentary for all privately owned vehicles (POV). The complimentary forklift service does not include "spotting" equipment in the booth or any return trips to the booth to move equipment once it has been delivered. POV is defined as a booth representative being present at the dock to take responsibility of material, oversee unloading and loading of material. If DWA is required to sign for liability, there will be a material handling charge. Please palletize your materials as much as possible to expedite the off-loading of your equipment.

UNLOADING AT THE ROLL-UP DOORS

Small vehicles that do not require access to a loading dock can report directly to the facility and can check in with the Traffic Manager. The Traffic Manager will identify your booth location and will then direct you to the appropriate door. Drivers will be required to remain with their vehicle while exhibitors off-load materials into a staging area. As soon as materials are off-loaded, the driver is required to move the vehicle before assisting with building the booth display. Parking is available in the underground parking garage and exhibitor parking lot for a fee.

UNLOADING FROM THE PARKING GARAGE

Freight Elevator Hours are 8am-6pm, Tuesday, August 22, and 2-6pm, Friday, August 25. Exhibitors able to hand carry or utilize a push cart from a vehicle less than 7 feet tall without a trailer are encouraged to go to the Oregon Convention Center parking garage and use the freight elevator. There is a $10 charge to park in the garage and allows you to avoid waiting in line for a roll-up door and keep your vehicle in the same spot while you build your booth.

WAYS TO PROMOTE YOUR PRODUCT

The Farwest Trade Show is always a good time to see people face-to-face and close orders. This year, it was the best show in four years. I talked to several people who wrote orders. But Farwest is just as good of an opportunity to buy as it is to sell. You can see a piece of equipment, ask questions, and find out how it can be customized. It takes less time. For a small business like ours, that's very important.
